Joseph wants to heal the world through comedy. Until then, fame and riches will have to do. Originally from Houston, TX, he studied theater at Brown University and was a founding company member of Salvage Vanguard Theater in Austin. In his life as a theater actor he worked with many groundbreaking directors such as Andre Gregory, Lee Breuer and Jerzy Grotowski. Co-creator of the webseries Least Favorite Love Songs, a 2014 Webby Honoree, Joseph has appeared in over 20 films and TV shows and shared the screen with many of his heroes such as William Hurt, Mark Wahlberg, Chazz Palminteri, Andie MacDowell, Jeffrey Wright, and Harry Shearer. He directed the 2011 dramatic comedy feature Flood Streets which garnered awards at festivals around the world. Joseph is a seasoned improviser, having performed on the Harold team TheJetBlacks and improvised silent movie Quiet on the Set. He trained at the New Movement in New Orleans and taught level 4 improv there from 2015-2017. He’s also taken classes at UCB, the Pack, and in private classes with masters of the craft. Joseph has been practicing Shaolin-Do kung fu since 1996 and owns a martial arts gym in New Orleans where he taught for sixteen years.
